The part I didn’t enjoy…
The seductive sorceress Mizuki , who helps Lord Kira (Asano), a ruthless master of ceremonies in killing the King.
The zombie boy that only appeared for just a second in the film. What was the point of him featuring in the film’s advertising poster. Remember him? He was in the Lady Gaga video ‘Born This Way’
The curse romance between the Half-Breed servant named Kai (Keanu Reeves) and the Princess Mika (Ko Shibasaki). No matter what he does, he will never get to be with the woman he loves. Yeah! ‘I will wait for you in a thousand years, next lifetime’. It’s very true that love makes us go crazy.
However…
This film was well-directed.The visual effect was superb for a 3D screening.The rich Japanese’s traditional costume and architectural design that flourished often in this film was what made it a winner.The only negative point is the ending, no matter what the samurais did, they still have to die. Japanese’s old tradition places greater emphasis on honour.This film is all about honour. I truly enjoyed watching this film on Boxing Day.
